Glass food storage containers are a versatile option for leftovers. Here are some tips to keep those containers in tip-top shape for years to come:
Storing on the Shelf
To keep your glass storage containers in peak condition it is recommended to avoid direct contact with other glass. We suggest a piece of paper towel or reusable cloth be placed between pieces when stacking.Washing Glass Containers
Clean with plastic or nylon non-scratch sponges. Wash your glass in detergent and water. For stubborn, baked-on food, soak glass and then use non-scratch cleaners and sponges.Washing Lids
To remove stains and lingering odors from lids use a simple baking soda solution. Mix 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1 teaspoon water, and ΒΌ teaspoon dish soap. Stir to create a paste and coat the inside of the lid. Let the lid sit for at least 15 minutes. Scrub and rinse with clean water. Repeat if necessary.
Dishwasher
Glass storage containers can be put on the bottom or top rack of the dishwasher. The plastic lids should ALWAYS be placed on the top rack to avoid warping or cracking during drying.
